February 8, 2021: Three Steps To Maintain Perspective During Change

When you are facing a difficult situation, in particular one that involves major change, it can be a struggle to keep in mind that what you’re experiencing now won’t last forever; it is just a small moment in time.

Perspective is the window through which you view life, situations and other people. Even in the midst of challenging times, keeping an optimistic viewpoint is possible and can help you moving forward. Here are three steps you can use to help you take a step back, see the whole picture and keep your eye on the light at the end of the tunnel.

  • Destress: Remove yourself from the situation, even if it’s just for a few minutes. Changing your focus can help you relax and reset your outlook. Try listening to music, going for a walk, talking with a friend or reading Reducing the Intensity of Stress for other tips to recharge.
